 MaxTrax 2 for 3DSMAX3

MAXTRAX II consists of three distinct plug-ins.
The first, MTrack, is the standard path-generator
familiar to MAXTRAX I users. Notable improvements
to this system include an on-off and cyclic
timing queue and the ability to use shapes as
cross-sections along the MAXTrax path. GTrack,
 the second plug-in, is a geometry-based version
of MTrack. It possesses the similar capabilities,
but since the object created by a GTrack
operation is composed of geometry, and can be
collapsed into an editable mesh, you can use
 GTrack as an animated lofter.

 MAXTRAX II plug-ins include:
   MTrack - particle-based trail builder
   GTrack - geometry-based trail builder
GTDisk - stand-in creator for GTrack
   RingWave - a procedural shockwave

MAXTRAX II is a very straightforward product. The
key concept in the use of MTrack and GTrack is
the Contact Patch. GTDisk, a simple stand-in that
ships with MAXTRAX, creates this object for the
GTrack trail generator, and the MTrack plug-in
uses itself as a contact patch. As the contact
patch moves through the scene, MAXTRAX generates
 a trail behind it.

MAXTRAX II supports versatile on-off timing
queues, three types of mapping along the trail,
and animated trail scaling and fading with
animatable segment lifetime. The ability to loft
shapes along the length of an MTrack or GTrack
trail is extremely powerful. With this new
option, you can create moving logos and solid
trails, or grow shapes of all types and
descriptions. More mundane uses of MAXTRAX II
include the traditional skid marks, as well as
bandages trailing from a mummy, banners towed
behind an aircraft, boat wakes, contrails,
footprints, a gift box whose ribbon ties itself,
 handwriting, paint stripping, painting, phasor
fire, a spider building a web, ticker tape
blowing in the wind, and more.

 For example: install c:\3dsmax3
Then use the authcode generator to make a valid authorizationcode
